Jason Quigley made the biggest ring walk of his life on Saturday - down the aisle of the Church of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar, for his wedding.

There was style in abundance as the Ballybofey boxer got married to his long-time partner April McManus.

The popular Twin Towns couple were joined by family and friends for a glamorous bash to toast the next chapter of their lives.

Fr Kieran McAteer, Stranorlar Parish Priest, officiated at the ceremony, with Fr Patsy Arkinson, Sessiaghoneill, concelebrating.

Quigley has a big fight coming up as he takes to the stage against Edgar Berlanga at Madisson Square Garden on June 24, but he was surely floored as stunning bride April arrived up the aisle.

April is the daughter of Sam and Nora McManus from Stranorlar and is also well known as a social media strategist working with several companies.

Michelle Laverty was maid of honour and the bridesmaids were Naomi Catterson, Shelley Brennan, Lisa Dahmani and Jayde Quigley, while the bride’s daughter Sierra was flower girl.

In the groom’s corner were best man Conor Scanlon and groomsmen Damien Gallagher, Paul Kelly, Orin McDermott and Gary McCullagh.

Quigley is well used to answering the bell - but it was wedding bells that rang out by the Finn on Saturday with a knock-out reception held in the Finn Suite of Jackson’s Hotel.

After the bridal party entered, the newly-wed couple were announced into the function room by Donegal’s ‘Mr Boxing’, Peter O’Donnell, a regular ringside announcer at the National Stadium and a close friend of Jason and April.

Among the highlights of the evening was an emotional speech by Jason’s mother, Muriel.

Quigley’s coach, the former world champion Andy Lee, was in attendance alongside other members of Team Quigley.

Ken Sheer, of the Los Angeles-based Sheer Sports Management, who have managed Quigley since he turned professional, jetted in from Tinseltown.

Boxers Brett McGinty, Ray Moylette, Declan Geraghty and Charlie Williams were also among the guests.

The happy couple will enjoy some downtime this week before Quigley makes his return to training ahead of his big bout in the Big Apple.
