Donegal Judge issues bench warrant for woman at large

Letterkenny District Court heard that the woman has been unlawfully at large from Limerick prison since April

A bench warrant has been issued in Donegal for a woman who escaped from a prison in April.

Noreen Foley was due before Letterkenny District Court.

The 35-year-old has been charged with an alleged theft from Applegreen, Letterkenny Road, Lifford on March 26, 2020.

Foley, whose address was given as Moore Cottage, Glencar Scotch, Letterkenny, was not present in court and no legal representative spoke on her behalf.

Sergeant Jim Collins informed the court that Foley has been unlawfully at large from Limerick prison since April. Gardai have since been unable to locate her.

Sergeant Collins sought a bench warrant and this was granted by Judge Éiteáin Cunningham.
