Charlie O'Donnell is presented with his prize
St Stephen's Day saw the return of the popular Darren Mills 6k on Cruit Island with funds raised going to Gemma’s legacy of hope.
A good course saw a quick downhill start before a flatter middle section and an uphill finish. Charlie O'Donnell was first man back to take the win from LAC’s Ciaran Doherty with Rosses Declan Gallagher taking a fantastic third. Paul McKelvey, Gavin Ward, Conor Boyle, Eoin Boyle, Noel O'Donnell and Kevin Duffy all had great runs also.
Bernie Boyle picks up her award
First Lady back was Finn Valley’s flying Amy Greene who was followed by her coach Rosses Helen McCready with Bernie Boyle finishing third.
We also had Cathy Breslin, Michelle Ferguson, Brenda Duffy and Marie Gallagher running well also.
Another St Stephen’s day race also took place in Falcarragh over slightly less than 5k where LAC’s John McCallion took the win, Martina Mulhern made the short trip and was the First Lady to finish. Norman Mc Clean also had a great run.
