Gardaí re-appeal following fatal Letterkenny collision

Anybody with camera footage who were travelling on near Magheranan in Letterkenny between 5am and 6am last Monday morning are asked to make this footage available 

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road collision involving a lorry and a pedestrian.

The collision occurred on the R245 at Magheranan in Letterkenny shortly before 6am on Friday, March, 15. 

The man (30s)  who tragically died was named locally as Ciarán McArt. Ciarán was the loved son of Adrian and Karen McArt, brother of Ultan and Fionnuala from 2 The Glebe, Letterkenny.

The lorry driver involved was uninjured.

“Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward,” a Garda spokesperson said.  “Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and who were travelling on the R245 at Magheranan in Letterkenny between the hours of 5am and 6am that morning are asked to make this footage available to gardaí.”

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact Letterkenny Garda station on 074 916 7100, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.”
