John Crumlish, Moville

The death has occurred of John Crumlish, Market Square, Moville, F93 DWX2.

Beloved husband of Carmel. Much loved father of Sean, Clodagh, Ronan and Orla. Devoted grandfather to all his grandchildren. Predeceased by his sister Freda and brother Kenneth.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sisters Theresa and Ethna, daughters in law Wendy and Tricia and son in law Colm, nieces and nephews, wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

John's remains are now reposing at his home where you are all welcome to pay your respescts.

Funeral from there on Thursday morning at 10.30am for 11am funeral Mass in St Pius X Church, Moville, followed by burial after in Ballybrack Graveyard. Funeral Mass can be viewed live on www.movilleparish.com

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired, to the Donegal Hospice c/o any family member. Family time from 11pm to 11am, please.

Aidan O'Donnell, Dunkineely

The death has occurred of Aidan O'Donnell, Croagh Road, Dunkineely, F94 DA33.

Peacefully surrounded by his loving family in the exceptional care of the nurses and staff of the Donegal Hospice. 

Predeceased by his father, Michael, son Brendan and sister Eileen, will be sadly missed and deeply regretted by his loving wife, Mary, his mother Bridie, sons, Aidan (Aine), Kevin (Lisa), his adoring grandchildren, his brothers John, Declan and Ciaran, sisters, Maureen, Eithne, Una, Eilish, Sheila and Michelle, brothers in law and sisters in law, nieces and nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Remains reposing at his residence on Tuesday from 2pm to 9pm. Removal on Wednesday at 10.30am going to the Church of Saint Joseph and Saint Conal, Bruckless for 11am Funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu if desired to Cancer Care West, care of any family member or John B. O'Donnell Funeral Director.

Bridie O'Donnell (née Boyle) Lifford

The death has occurred of Bridie O'Donnell (née Boyle) The Haw, Lifford and formerly of Butcher Street, Liffordm May 27 2024, at Letterkenny University Hospital

Beloved wife of Tommy, much loved mother of Anna, Lelia, Susie, Bernard, Frankie, Angela and Jeremy.

Reposing at her son Jeremy`s home, The Haw, Lifford on Monday (May 27th) from 6p.m. Funeral leaving her son`s home on Wednesday May 29 at 11.20am for Requiem Mass in St Patrick's Church, Murlog, Lifford at 12 noon.

Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Deeply regretted by her sorrowing sons, daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren and family circle. Family time please from 10pm to 11am

Seán Mc Gettigan, Ranny, Kerrykeel

The death has occurred of Seán Mc Gettigan, Ranny, Kerrykeel, F92 K7Y4, May 26, 2024.

Deeply regretted by his wife Maureen, daughter Deborah, son Adrian, daughter-in-law Jane Ann, grandson Tadhg, brothers Cathal, Seamus, Desmond, Donal and Enda, sisters Marie Coll, Sheila Mc Ginley, Nora Megaughin, Anne Gallagher, Patricia Turner, Sophia Gilchrist and Catriona Davies, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Reposing at his home. Requiem mass on Wednesday, May 29th, at 11am in St Mary’s, Star of the Sea Church, Glenvar. Burial afterwards in Glenvar Cemetery.

Family time from 10pm until 11am and on the morning of the funeral.

Eddie McFadden, Ballyshannon and Kerrykeel

The sudden death has occurred of Eddie McFadden, The Mall, Ballyshannon and formerly of Kerrykeel.

Predeceased by his wife Ann, his sons Patrick and Shaun, he is sadly missed by his children Elaine (John), Breege, Joanne (Gavin), Enda (Aveen) and Adrian, his grandchildren Emma, Abigail, Jamie and Jack, brothers Patrick and John, sisters Marian and Eileen, brothers in-law, sisters in-law, nephews, nieces and all extended family and friends. Predeceased his father Pat and mother Ellen and brother Hugh.

His remains are reposing at his late residence Wednesday From 12pm to 9pm. House Private on the morning of the funeral please.

Removal on Thursday morning going to St Patrick's Church, Ballyshannon for 11am Funeral Mass with burial afterwards in the Abbey Cemetery. Eddie's funeral cortege will travel to the Abbey Cemetery via The Mall, Ballyshannon. Mass can be viewed on https://www.churchservices.tv/stpatricksballyshannon

Sadie Deane, Bruckless

The death has taken place peacefully at home, of Sadie Deane, née McKee, Aighan, Bruckless.

Predeceased by her husband, John, sadly missed by her daughters Joan, Heather (Andy) and her son, James (Lynda), grandchildren, Shelley, Lisa, Eva, Stuart, Karen, Emma and Jamie, great grandchildren, Olivia, Harry, George, Zara and Liam, brothers, Aaron and Raymond, sisters Pearl, Edna and Kathleen, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Her remains are reposing at Shovlin's Funeral Home Ardara, F94 A250, on Tuesday from 4pm to 8pm, followed by removal to her home. House private please.

Funeral Service on Wednesday in St Peter's Church, Killaghtee at 2 pm with committal in the adjoining graveyard.

Family Flowers only please. Donations in lieu if desired to St Peter's Church, Killaghtee.

Sr Eileen Friel, Mountcharles and USA

The death has taken place of Sr Eileen Friel, Glencoagh, Mountcharles and San Antonio, Texas. She was a member of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word.

Predeceased by her parents Conn and MaryAnn, her siblings Conn, Cathal and Marion; loved and deeply missed by her brothers, Liam, Dan, Eamon, sister-in-law Anne, nieces, nephews, her religious sisters and friends. She will be remembered with love by her religious community and as a wonderful sister and Aunt by her family.

Burial will take place in San Antonio, Texas on Friday.

Michael Gallagher, Lettermacaward

The death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital of Michael Gallagher (Mickey James) Dirlaught, Lettermacaward.

Sadly missed by his wife Nora, children Mary, Catherine, Jackie, Fiona, Amanda, Noreen,Micheal, Kevin, Danny, Declan and Peter. His grandchildren, great grandchildren and wider extended family.

His remains will repose at Mc Glynn's funeral home on Tuesday at 1pm until Rosary at 7pm, followed by removal to his late residence in Dirlaught, Lettermacaward.

Funeral Mass takes place on Wednesday in St Bridget’s Church, Lettermacaward at 12 noon followed by interment in the new cemetery. House private on the morning of the funeral.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu to Dungloe Community Hospital comfort fund.

Barry Mc Laughlin, Donegal Town

The death has occurred of Barry Mc Laughlin of Luton, Bedfordshire, England and formerly of Clar, Donegal Town. Barry passed away suddenly on April 21 in the L&D Hospital, Luton.

Predeceased by his father James, he is sadly missed by his children, Chantelle and Danny, his mother Geraldine, sisters Siobhan (Eamonn) Arlene (Jay) and brothers Seamus and Sean (Melanie), nieces and nephews and extended family.

A memorial service has taken place in London.

Celebration of Life on Wednesday from 10am to 10.30am at St Agatha's Church, Clar, Donegal Town can be viewed on the parish webstream.

Cass Langan, Tyrone and Castlefin

The death has taken place at her home of Catherine (Cass) Langan, née Ward, 8 Cluny Gardens, Clady and formerly of Ternisk, Castlefin.

Beloved wife of the late Jimmy, much loved mother Catherine, Aidan, Paul, Michelle, James, John, Martin and Eugene, and sister of Tommy, Sammy, Maryann, Breige, Martin and the late Marjorie and Helene. Deeply regretted by her sorrowing sons, daughters, nineteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, brothers, sisters and family circle.

Her remains are reposing at her home. Family time please from 11pm to 11am.

Funeral leaving from there on Tuesday at 11.15am for Requiem Mass in St Columba`s Church, Doneyloop at 12 noon. Interment will take place afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Bernard Breslin, Dublin, Scotland and Quigley's Point

The death has take place of Bernard Breslin, Walkinstown and formerly of Quigley’s Point, Donegal, Scotland, British Leyland and Electrolux. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family in the excellent care of the staff of Rathborne Nursing Home.

Beloved husband of the late Marie, loving dad of Teresa, Bernard, John, Eamon and Gordon, a much loved granddad of Brendan, Kevin, Ben, Seán, Jack, Holli, Libby, James, Amy, David and the late Baby Aidan and a loving brother of the late Charlie and Kathleen. Bernard will be forever loved and very sadly missed by his loving children, daughters-in-law Martina, Orla and Yvonne, grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

His remains reposed at the Brian McElroy Funeral Home, Crumlin Village.

Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 10am in St. Agnes' Church, Crumlin Village, followed by Cremation in the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome. Bernard’s Funeral Mass can be viewed at https://www.crumlinparish.ie/watch-live/ .
