To mark Barry's first anniversary, the fundraising walk will depart from Towney Football Field at 11am on Saturday, October 4, with proceeds in aid of the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust.

CLG Chill Chartha are planning a memorial fundraiser for the late Barry Breslin, Straleel, Kilcar, in aid of the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust.

Barry was sadly killed in a tragic workplace accident on October 3, 2024 in Perth, Australia.

"Barry played underage for the club and his mum, Mary (Football)has been an integral part of all things football in Kilcar for many years," the GoFundMe titled Barry Breslin Memorial Walk reads. 

"To mark Barry's first Anniversary, we are holding a sponsored walk. The walk will leave Towney Football Field at 11am on Saturday October 4, continue into the village of Kilcar, up Castlecarn and up Ballymoon side of the Glen and back via Cashlings and back to Towney. The route measures approximately 9.5km. Feel free to join the walk at any point along the way. Refreshments will be served in Towney on return.

"This GoFundMe page is set up for The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust for anyone who wishes to contribute. Various bucket collections will also be available on the day."
