Donal Kelly, a Director of the Friends of Letterkenny University Hospital, accepted a cheque for €4,000 from Mrs Philomena McColgan and members of her family.
The money was raised from donations in lieu of flowers at the funeral of her late husband Danny McColgan, Ballynanona, Culkeeny, Malin, who passed away earlier this year.
The McColgan family made the presentation in memory of a treasured husband and father and in recognition of the care he received in Letterkenny University Hospital.
