Gritters will be out on four Donegal routes this afternoon

Temperatures set to drop to freezing in some parts of the county

Road gritters are in action tonight

There has been much talk about the impending cold spell with the possibility of snow in the coming days.

But in the short term, some parts of Donegal can expect temperatures to drop sharply by Monday evening.

Donegal County Council has announced that its gritters will be out on four routes in the county, namely:

01: National Primary North
02: National Primary Central
09: Cill Ulta East
12: Binswilly

However, road users are advised to assume that no road is ice free, even if their area is not listed.
