Sad passing of Very Reverend Dan O’Doherty
The death has taken place today, Friday, December 23 at St Eunan’s Nursing Home, Letterkenny, of Very Reverend Dan O’Doherty retired Parish Priest of Dunfanaghy.
Born on August 28, 1934, Fr O'Doherty was ordained to the priesthood on June 18, 1961 in St Patrick’s College, Maynooth, Co Kildare.
Fr O’Doherty received his primary education in Ballyheerin National School, Fanad and his secondary education in St Eunan’s College, Letterkenny. He studied for the priesthood at St Patrick’s College Maynooth
Ministry
Fr O’Doherty, served in Ballybofey, Rathmullan, Letterkenny, Arranmore, Killybegs, Fintown, Milford, Kilclooney, Burtonport and Dunfanghy (PE).
Sincere condolences to Fr Dan’s family and all who mourn his passing.
