Tickets for Jason Quigley’s professional homecoming bout in April will be a scarce commodity.
Quigley fights in Ireland for the first time as a pro when he faces Kim Poulsen at The National Stadium
A few hundred ‘early access’ tickets were made available by Elite Sheer on Friday afternoon just after the announcement of The Return show. They were snapped up within four hours.
Team Quigley anticipate that the show, featuring a stellar Irish cast that includes St Johnston’s Brett McGinty, won’t take long to be a sell out.
“We always knew Jason would be a big draw in Ireland,” said Quigley’s publicist, Chris McNulty.
“We could see that from the following he had when fighting abroad and people have just been willing for him to get a home fight.
“In his amateur days, Jason was always well supported in The National Stadium. The night he won the Elite final against Roy Sheahan was electric - April 1 will be another special night.”
It is ten years since the Ballybofey man, a ten-time Irish champion, fought in Ireland and his army of fans will raise the roof of the 1,954-capacity stadium on Dublin’s South Circular Road.
Tickets will go on public release next week.
McNulty added: “We’re advising people to stay alert to ticket release announcements now as this show will definitely sell out.”
