Donegal captain Patrick McBrearty.
Paddy Carr has named his starting XV to face Monaghan this afternoon with Patrick McBrearty included in the line up.
Doubts had surfaced during the week that the captain would miss out in Clones during to an injury picked up last time out in the side’s loss to Tyrone, in Omagh, a fortnight ago.
That speculation prompted Carr - via the official Donegal GAA website site - to release a statement expressing his “disappointment on being miss-represented in the media regarding the injury”.
And the Kilcar now man seems set to take his place once again on the edge of the square.
The Donegal side named to face bottom of the table Monaghan is: Shaun Patton; Mark Curran, Brendan McCole, Caolan Ward; Caolan McColgan, Stephen McMenamin, Jamie Grant; Caolan McGonagle, Jason McGee; Johnny McGroddy, Daire Ó Baoill, Conor O’Donnell; Hugh McFadden, Patrick McBrearty, Jamie Brennan.
