The Showgrounds will play host to the Intermediate Cup final.

Cockhill Celtic's FAI Intermediate Cup final has been confirmed for The Showgrounds in Sligo.

Cockhill will take on Rockmount, the holders, from the Munster Senior League on April 23 at 2pm.

The FAI confirmed The Showgrounds as the venue on Tuesday afternoon.

Earlier this month, Lee McColgan scored the only goal of the game as Cockhill toppled Ringmahon Rangers in the semi-final in Cork.

That win sealed a place in a first ever Intermediate Cup final for Cockhill.

Gavin Cullen's team defeated Drumcondra in their quarter-final with McColgan, Luke Rudden and Adam McLaughlin on the mark.

Rockmount, the home club of Roy Keane, won the 2021-22 Intermediate Cup final with a 2-0 success against Bluebell United.

Eoin Murphy and Cian Murphy netted the goals to secure a fourth Intermediate success for the Cork side.
