The eagerly anticipated 'Dip for Donegal' event in support of the county’s LGFA teams took place this afternoon in Downings after being rescheduled due to inclement weather.
Originally scheduled for December 30, the event brought several inter-county teams for a refreshing dip at Downings beach.
The participation of several county players, volunteers, supporters, and coaches added a competitive and spirited element to what was a great day. Athletes from various Donegal teams took the plunge showcasing not only their dedication to their sport but also their support for Ladies Gaelic Football in Donegal.

Beyond the excitement and fun, the primary goal of the 'Dip for Donegal' event is to support Ladies Gaelic Football in the county. Funds raised from the event contribute to the development and promotion of the sport, ensuring that ladies Gaelic football continues to thrive in Donegal.
The event showcased a community-driven initiative to bolster the growth of women's sports in the region.
