Late night altercation in Buncrana leaves man injured

A late-night altercation took place at Westend, Buncrana, leaving at least one man injured.

When gardai arrived at an altercation at the scene on Sunday morning everybody had moved on from the area. They noted that damage had been caused to the window of a business premises at that location. A short time later Gardaí were contacted by a man who claimed to have been assaulted during the altercation. He sustained non-life threatening injuries as a result of the incident.

“We appeal to anybody who travelled in the area of Westend, Buncrana between 2.45am and 3.15am on Sunday, March 3, to make contact with us if they had a dash cam in their car or if they observed what occurred,” a garda spokesperson said. “Gardaí in Buncrana may be contacted on 074-9320540."
