Woman, in her 70s, dies following crash on the N21 in Limerick

A woman in her 70s has died following a two-car crash in Limerick on Saturday, gardai have said.

Emergency services were called to the N21 at Templeglantine West just before noon.

The woman, who was the driver of one of the cars, was brought to University Hospital Limerick, where she was pronounced dead.

A passenger in the other car, also a woman in her 70s, was brought to University Hospital Kerry with non-life-threatening injuries.

A Garda forensic team is investigating the crash and is appealing from anyone who was travelling in the area around the time of the crash, or who has footage from that section of the road, to make contact.
