Here are the seven sites where you can recycle your Christmas tree in County Kildare

Kildare County Council said that it was assisted by Coillte and Clane GAA.

Kildare County Council (KCC) has announced that members of the public can recycle their Christmas trees at seven sites located across the county from today.

The sites will be open until January 21.

The locations listed by KCC are as follows: Meeting Lane carpark in Athy, Interchange Yard in Celbridge, Clane GAA Club, The Council Depot (beside the Fire Station) in Maynooth, Moore Abbey carpark in Monasterevin, Fairgreen in Naas and the Council Nursery (accessible towards Naas; follow the signs) in Newbridge.

Please note that the sites cannot be used to recycle Christmas wreaths or other waste.

KCC thanked both Coillte and Clane GAA for their assistance.

According to the council, all trees submitted will be shredded, and the mulch will be used for community landscaping projects.

Directional signage is in place at the seven sites.
