A claim that a woman's partner refused to leave her room was made at a Naas District Court sitting.
The woman appeared before the court seeking a protection order - but this was declined by Judge Michele Finan.
The woman claimed that the man was drunk and refused to leave her room and she had two children.
“I am afraid of him, he drinks lots," she added.
The man was not present for the brief hearing.
The woman also told the court that the man had told her to leave the house..
The court also heard that the woman has a safety order.
Judge Finan commended the woman’s bravery but said that she was not satisfied to grant the order.
