BREAKING: Trains suspended between Kildare and Newbridge due to "tragic incident"

Irish Rail has warned commuters that there is "significant disruption" to commuters travelling from Dublin to Kildare after train services have been suspended between Newbridge and Kildare town.

A Twitter update from Irish Rail said: "Services have been suspended between Kildare and Newbridge following a report of a tragic incident on the line. Emergency services are en route."

No trains bound for Kildare are departing Heuston Station.

It's understood that Irish Rail staff are trying to organise bus transfers from Heuston to Kildare town.
