Fifty new homes to be built in Tomard, Athy, Co Kildare in €11.8m project

Fifty new homes are to be built in the townland of Tomard, Athy, Co Kildare as part of an €11.8m project.

According to Construction Information Services (CIS), a decision to grant planning permission was issued by Kildare County Council on 06/12/2024 to Bettystown Development Limited for a development that will consist of 50 houses, on a site measuring circa 1.85 hectares, located in the townland of Tomard, south of the Cluain Bhearu residential development, east of the Monasterevin Road / Rathstewart Road (R417) .

The proposed development consists of 19 four-bedroom and 31 three-bedroom two-storey, detached, semi-detached and terraced houses.

Access to the proposed development will be from the adjoining Cois Bhearu to the north.

The proposed development includes for all associated site development works, car parking, open spaces, hard and soft landscaping etc, ESB substation, and demolition of all structures on site.

Architects for the proposed development are Armstrong Fenton Associates/Davey & Smith Architect.
