Planning permission has been applied for a single storey extension to a school in North Kildare.
A two-classroom Special Education Unit is being proposed for Scoil Bhríde, Green Lane, Leixlip.
Also being planned are additional car parking spaces and a vehicular set-down area.
There will also works to modify and widen the existing gated vehicular entrance onto Green Lane.
The relocation of the existing Modular Accommodation Unit is in the plans.
The designs include a secure external soft play area, sensory garden and additional hard surfaced playground area.
