Rathangan blow Ellistown away in Kildare IFC

Winners put down a firm marker in opening game in Group A

Rathangan turned on the style at Cedra St Conleth's Park, Newbridge, this afternoon (Sunday 17 August) with a blistering display of attacking football that simply blew near neighbours Ellistown away.

In control from the start, Rathangan led 0-8 to 0-2 after fifteen minutes and then in the following eight minutes hit an amazing 0-8, going on to lead at the break 0-15 too 0-3.

Despite playing against the breeze in the second half, the boys in green continued to dominate, Austin Donegan found the net on 46 minutes as Rathangan went on to win on a final score line of Rathangan 1-24 Ellistown 0-10.
