Gardai have searched eight properties in Dublin West in relation to an alleged attack on a woman which left her with serious burn injuries.

The woman was taken to hospital after the incident at a home in the Oak Downs area of Clondalkin on November 25, and she remains in a serious condition.

Gardai say during the searches, which were carried out under warrant on Tuesday morning, a number of “items of evidential value were seized”.

The investigation is being led by a senior investigating officer at an incident room in Clondalkin Garda Station.

Gardai continue to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact them.

In particular, they wish to speak to anyone who was in the area between 9.30am and 10.20am and may have video footage.
