A Curragh Camp resident has been accused of money laundering and drug offences.

Gardaí who were present at Naas District Court on Thursday, July 27 told substitute Judge Alec Gabbett that David Naughton, of 3 O'Higgins Terrace in the Curragh Camp, had laundered around €4,060 in County Kildare on June 27, 2022.

It was also heard that the 46-year-old was charged with being in possession of cocaine for sale or supply in at his home on July 11, 2022.

This alleged offence would be in contravention of Section 3 and Section 15 of the Misuse of Drugs Act, 1977.

There was no garda objection to bail, and as such, the judge remanded Mr Naughton on continuing bail until the case resumes on September 21.

A book of evidence is due to be presented on this date.
