UPMC Kildare Hospital in Clane is seeking changes to planning permission granted by Kildare Co Council in 2024.
The 39-bed hospital on the Prosperous Road offers a variety of medical and surgical specialty care along with access to diagnostics and on-site physiotherapy.
The healthcare facility offers expertise in several specialties including orthopaedics, urology, endoscopy, paediatrics, and general surgery.
The 2024 extension was to accommodate two endoscopy procedure rooms, a recovery area and associated support accommodation at ground floor level.
A plant room is also planned at first floor level.
