Plans for a €1.8 million tennis court extension at Naas Lawn Tennis Club in Oldtown, Naas,

Plans for a €1.8 million tennis court extension at Naas Lawn Tennis Club in Oldtown, Naas, Co Kildare have been lodged as part of a significant upgrade to the club’s outdoor facilities.

The development will see the construction of a new full-size tennis court with an artificial grass surface on the existing lawn area in front of the clubhouses.

The proposed court will be enclosed with perimeter fencing ranging in height from 0.9 metres to 2.5 metres.

In addition, the project includes the installation of 10-metre-high lighting posts fitted with LED lighting to serve the new court.

Two mini tennis courts are also planned for the existing lawn area to the west of Court 6.

These will feature artificial grass surfaces and will be enclosed with 1.2-metre-high fencing.

Six-metre-high lighting posts with LED lighting are proposed to illuminate the mini courts.
