Plans have been granted for a €5.8 million car showroom and service facility development in Naas, Co Kildare, representing a significant investment in the local motor retail sector.
The project will be located on a site adjacent to the Bundle of Sticks roundabout in Newhall.
The development will comprise a modern one and two-storey motor sales showroom alongside a vehicle service workshop.
The main building, measuring approximately 2,707 square metres, will include a showroom, service bays, parts storage, offices and staff and customer facilities. A separate single-storey structure will house a web display and valet bay.

Extensive external works are also included in the plans, such as a canopied car wash, vehicle display areas, customer and staff parking with electric vehicle charging points, cycle parking and landscaped surroundings.
New access points for vehicles and pedestrians will be developed, along with upgraded links to the nearby R445, including a public footpath and bus stop.
Sustainability measures such as solar panels and surface water management systems will also form part of the project.
Designs for the scheme were prepared by Dublin-based NODE Architecture.
