Over thirty patients waiting on beds for third consecutive day in Kilkenny

33 patients waiting on trolleys in Kilkenny

Thirty-three patients were waiting for beds at St Luke's Hospital in Kilkenny earlier today, according to figures released by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO).

This is the third consecutive day that the figure has been over thirty at the local hospital.

Twenty-four are on trolleys in the Emergency Department and seven are on wards elsewhere.

Nationally, 495 admitted patients were waiting for beds this morning.
