Kilkenny County Council is reminding local households who may have received a 'notice to quit', also known as a 'notice of termination' from their landlord, to contact the local authority if they have no alternative accommodation.

According to a spokesperson, Kilkenny County Council's first response is to try and prevent homelessness and to support households to find alternative accommodation.

Landlords issued almost 4,518 'notices of termination' to tenants between July and September of 2023, according to data published by the Residential Tenancies Board (RTB).
