Kilkenny Camogie look set to be without one of their key players for 2025 after Grace Walsh opted to step away for the upcoming season.
Walsh has represented the county with great distinction since making her debut in 2011 and she leaves the squad with All-Ireland titles in 2016, 2020 and 2022 to her name.
While there is still a possibility that she will return at some stage, for now it’s the end of an era for the Tullaroan star.
In a statement on Social Media, the 31 year old said: "Sin é but still some incredible memories made with a special group of friends. Up the Cats always."
Walsh's club team Tullaroan paid tribute to the decorated camogie player in a post earlier this week: "Congrats to our own Grace Walsh on an incredible inter county career over the last 14 years. We are all extremely proud of the role model and ambassador you are for the younger generation here in Tullaroan. Grace has always been on hand to offer words of encouragement to our younger players," the post read.

"Over the past number of years Grace has been a pivotal member of Kilkenny Camogie and has fast become a household name throughout Kilkenny and beyond for her attributes on the field of play. Her workrate and ability to win aerial balls makes her stand out from the crowd," the post added.
"A notable performance during the 2020 All-Ireland final V Galway at midfield shortlisted her for player of the match with an incredible performance of sheer determination and passion helping Kilkenny to all-Ireland success on an silent December night in Croke Park."
"We look forward to many more years of Grace in the Tullaroan sash and driving on the club as this year’s senior captain. Well done Grace 3 time All-Ireland winner 3 time All-Star 7 Senior Leinster titles and 5 Senior National league title’s," the post concluded.
