Kilkenny is taking part in the world’s largest arts and culture festival celebrating the contributions, creativity and resilience of refugees and people seeking sanctuary.
Built around the theme ‘Community as a Superpower,’ everyone is invited to the Refugee Week events taking place in Kilkenny, with the aim of spending time with friends and building new connections in and beyond our neighbourhoods.
Communities can bring people together, bridge divides and offer support. “Let’s show our local pride and practice solidarity to make Ireland a welcoming and safe place for everyone,” say organisers.
Events have been organised in Kilkenny ranging from sports to arts. Click the next arrows for details of all events this week and to see lots more photographs from Vicky Comerford.
