ICYMI: New speed limits on the cards for County Kilkenny due to new By-Laws

New speed limits on the cards for County Kilkenny as major new step is taken

Kilkenny County Council have released new draft County Kilkenny Special Speed Limit (Amendment) By-Laws.

The draft Special Speed Limit amendment proposes the implementation of the speed limit reduction from 100km/h to 80km/h on a section of the N25.  

The amendment together with associated maps are available for inspection at Kilkenny County Council Offices during public opening hours until Thursday, September 4 at County Hall, John Street, Kilkenny, or from Municipal District of Piltown Area Office in Ferrybank Shopping Centre.

Written submissions or observations regarding the Draft Special Speed Limit Bye-Laws amendment may be made online via the council's Public Consultation Portal, by emailing roads@kilkennycoco.ie with 'Draft Special Speed Limit (Amendment) Bye-Laws 2025' in the subject line or in writing (marked 'Draft Special Speed Limit (Amendment) Bye-Laws 2025') to Mary J Mulholland, Director of Services, Kilkenny County Council, John Street, Kilkenny.

Submissions or observations must be made in writing no later than 4pm on Thursday, September 4. Late submissions will not be accepted.
