Students from Abbey Community College in Ferrybank were one of many schools around the county to receive their Junior Cycle results on Wednesday morning.
Principal Michelle Jefford commended the quality of results and the amount of hard work and dedication that students had put in over the previous three years.
"This is a day of recognition and celebration for our students, whose hard work and dedication have culminated in outstanding academic success. We also acknowledge the vital role played by their families, primary schools and the wider community in supporting them throughout their educational journey".
"A sincere thank you is extended to our staff, both teaching and non-teaching, whose commitment and encouragement have helped shape this cohort's learning experience".
"This year, we are pleased to note a national increase in distinction grades, a positive trend that is reflected in our own results. A significant number of students at Abbey Community College have achieved distinctions, the highest grade awarded at Junior Cycle, reaffirming the academic excellence and dedication of our students."
