Grennan College is incredibly proud of its Fifth Year Leaving Certificate Applied (LCA) students who showcased their stunning paintings on the theme “Inspiration and Identity” at a recent art exhibition in Thomastown Library.

Over the past few months, these talented students have been researching artists, exploring ideas, and developing their creative vision as part of their LCA course.

“It was wonderful to see them present their finished pieces with such confidence in the beautiful setting of Thomastown Library,” a spokesperson for the school said.

“This is the first year of the LCA programme in Grennan College and it is fantastic to see this group of students embrace all the programme has to offer as they develop their skillsets and confidence.

“A huge congratulations to the students, their art teacher Ms Gladney, and everyone involved in making this event a success.”

Special thanks were also given to the staff of Thomastown Library for kindly facilitating the exhibition and for the students, staff and members of the community who supported the students.

LCA is a distinct, self-contained, two year Leaving Certificate programme aimed at preparing learners for adult and working life.

It emphasises forms of achievement and excellence which the established Leaving Certificate has not recognised in the past.
