Urlingford National School top of the class as Kilkenny celebrates St Patrick's Day

Pupils and staff from Urlingford National School are over the moon after the local school has won 'Overall Best Float' at the Urlingford St Patrick's Day Parade on Tuesday.

he successful float was made up of members of 4th to 6th Class representing the Schools Cumann na mBunscoil Roinn B Gaelic Football Champions, the Cumann na mBunscoil Roinn B Camogie Champions, the Schools Green Schools Committee and the Schools Tinwhistlers who played 'Hail Glorious St Patrick' for the crowds on the Streets of Urlingford and the Schools Choir who sang 'An Poc ar Buile' for the judges on the Grand Stand.

Meanwhile, community groups in the North Kilkenny town joined school parties, local companies and even a local transport company, to bring a real sense of fun and celebration to our national day. - SEE PICTURES HERE
