Garda appeal following daylight robbery in Kilkenny

Gardaí in Kilkenny are appealing to the public for assistance after masked intruders stole €5,000 worth of property from a filling station earlier this month.

Three intruders smashed the front door of the garage at the Inver filling station on the Castlecomer Road on the outskirts of Kilkenny City at approximately 3am on April 5.

The store was ransacked and approximately €3,000 worth of cigarettes was stolen along with €2,000 worth of other property.

A garda spokesperson confirmed that a black Audi A4 was used in the burglary and the car left the scene and travelled in the direction of Castlecomer.
