The death has occurred of Marie Purcell
Ballinalacken, Attanagh, Kilkenny

The death has taken place of Marie Purcell, Auckland, New Zealand and late of Ballinalacken, Attanagh, Co. Kilkenny.

She died on Monday 5th December 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her Father Jack, her sister Catherine and her brother Donal.

Deeply regretted by her loving son James and daughter Stephanie.

Sadly missed by her loving mother Sadie, her brothers JohnJoe and Phillip, sisters Bridie, Lena and Sarah, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

May Marie Rest In Peace.

Funeral will take place on Monday 12th December in Auckland.

A requiem Mass for Marie will take place in St. Patricks Church Ballyragget , Co. Kilkenny on Monday 12th December at 11am.

Johnny Marnell, Pollough, Kilmanagh, Co. Kilkenny.

Peacefully, on Wednesday, 7th December 2022, surrounded by his loving family in the wonderful care of Staff at Strathmore Lodge Nursing Home, Callan, Co. Kilkenny.

Pre-deceased by his wife Mary. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sorrowing family, sons Michael, Eamon and Brendan, daughters Máire, Eileen, Catherine and Angela, extended family Ultan, John, David, Andy, Claire, Cliodhna, Áine, grandchildren Peadar, Ruairí, Sadhbh, Shauna, Ellen, Lauren, Jackson, Isobella, David, Katie, Emma, Lily, Owen, Matthew, Michael, Ollie and Connie, sisters-in-law Joan, Catherine, Margaret and Anne, brothers-in-law Michael, Gerry and Michael, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at Molloy’s Funeral Home, Callan (Eircode R95 Y443) on Thursday, 8th December from 4pm. Rosary and Vigil Prayers at 6.30pm, followed by removal (via Kilbraghan) to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Kilmanagh arriving at 7.30pm approx.

Requiem Mass on Friday morning at 11am with burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ballykeeffe.

KAVANAGH, Religious Sisters of Charity, Lakelands, Sandymount, Dublin and late of Byrnesgrove, Ballyragget, Co. Kilkenny. Dec. 7th 2022, Sr. Margaret peacefully in the loving care of the staff of Beechlawn Nursing Home. Deeply regretted by her community at Lakelands, the Congregation of the Religious Sisters of Charity, her loving brother Bryan, sisters in law, Mary and Brenda, her nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews, relatives, friends, and the staff and residents of Beechlawn Nursing Home. Predeceased by her parents James and Margaret, her sister Kitty and her brothers Johnnie and Jimmy.

Reposing on Friday in Corrigan & Sons Funeral Home, 5 Lr Camden Street. D02DF22 from 2pm to 4pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday, Dec. 10th, at 11.30am in St. Mary's, Star of the Sea Church, Sandymount. followed by burial in the Community Cemetery, Donnybrook. Attanagh, Laois / Attanagh, Kilkenny

Peacefully in the loving care of the staff of the O'Gorman Home, Ballyragget. Predeceased by his father Denis, mother Kate, brother Dan and sister Margaret. Deeply regretted by his loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. John was a loving uncle and a loyal friend to all the family.

Reposing at Phelan's Funeral Home, Durrow from 4.00pm on Thursday evening with Rosary at 7.00pm. Removal to the Church of the Assumption, Ballyouskill on Friday morning for Requiem Mass at 11.00am. Burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of Joyce Davitt (née O'Brien)
Sandymount, Dublin / Graiguenamanagh, Kilkenny

Davitt, Joyce (née O’Brien) (Late of Sandymount and formerly Graiguenamanagh and Past Lady Captain of Edmonstown Golf Club). Peacefully at Belmont Nursing home. Deeply regretted by her loving husband Conor (widower of the late Ann who passed away in January 1979). Joyce will be sadly missed by her son Neil and her stepchildren Micheál, Grainne and Roland, her sister Mary O’ Gorman, her brothers Des, Martin and Alan, sisters in law Olive, Fidelma, Pauline and Anne, son-in-law John and daughter-in-law Tracey, her much loved grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Joyce will be reposing at her family home this Thursday from 3pm to 6pm. Funeral arriving to the Church of Star of the Sea, Sandymount on Friday morning 11.30 am mass, followed by burial to Deansgrange Cemetery. For those who unable to attend Joyce’s Funeral Service, please click here.
