Men in court alleged theft of forklifts worth €90,000

A father and son appeared in court charged with the theft of forklifts worth €90,000. 

Ivor Thompson, 66, of Meelick, Rosenallis and his son, Mark, 24, of the same address appeared before Portlaoise District Court each charged with theft at Greenway Couriers, Rosenallis on January 16 last. 

Garda Sgt JJ Kirby said the allegation related to the theft of three forklifts valued at approximately €90,000. He said the accused were father and son. 

Judge Andrew Cody adjourned the matter until April 27 for DPPs directions.
