Laois village set to bloom on mountain festival day

All roads lead to the Slieve Blooms this weekend for the Rosenallis Festival of the Mountain.

The event which incorporates a Vintage Rally, is set to take place on Sunday, August 20  1pm.

The Rosenallis Festival holds a special place in the hearts of our community, as it is the oldest festival in Laois, having started in 1962. This year's event promises to be a celebration of vintage and classic vehicles, arts and crafts, music, and various forms of entertainment for all ages.

Event highlights:

  • - Vintage and classic vehicle exhibits (tractors, cars, lorries, engines, motorcycles)
  • - Arts and craft stalls
  • - Live music
  • - Dog show
  • - Bread, butter and pancake  making
  • - Spit-roast pork and colcannon
  • - Children’s entertainment
  • - Food stalls and more!

Admission to the Festival Field venue is €10 for adults while children fee. Vintage vehicles must be in the field by 12.30pm
