The ESB has restored power to more than 2,000 properties in Portlaoise this lunchtime.
Meanwhile, 241 customers in Stradbally remain without power. The estimated time to restore power in Stradbally is 8pm.
The ESB recorded two separate faults in the Portlaoise area at lunchtime. One fault saw 734 properties without power while a second impacted a further 1,526 users. Both power outages were dealt with within an hour.
As Storm Agnes continues, the ESB has warned people to stay away from fallen power lines and report any fallen wires.
