Motorists on the main road linking Laois and Offaly have been warned to expect delays for at least a week in November.
Offaly County Council has warned that N80 road will be undergoing re-surfacing works commencing on Wednesday, November 8 at Ballinasrah, Killeigh.
"Works expected to continue for approximately one week," Offaly County Council said.
"Localised diversions and a convoy system will be in place. Expect delays," they added in an update to road users.
"Offaly County Council regrets any inconvenience to road users," said the public notice.
Meanwhile, work is also underway on the N80 in Portlaoise where public lighting is being upgraded on the Corrib roundabout on the Mountmellick side of town.
