Gardaí said a BMW ‘spun out of control’ before crashing on the N80 in Laois.
They posted pictures showed the car’s tyres which appear to be badly worn in places.
The crash occurred on the N80 outside Stradbally yesterday
“Laois Roads Policing Unit attended a single vehicle road traffic collision on the N80 on the outskirts of Stradbally yesterday. The vehicle lost control on a bend and spun out of control. On inspection of the vehicle the tyres were found to be in a very poor condition likely contributing to this incident. Fortunately nobody was injured,” Gardaí stated.
When Gardai inspected the crashed car they discovered further issues.
“The tax and NCT on the vehicle were both expired. The vehicle was seized and Court proceedings have commenced against the driver,” Gardaí said.
