Fabulous free feast of Laois Christmas entertainment in Portlaoise

Portlaoise was packed when Santa switched on the Christmas lights and another great free night of festive fun is in store when the Laois county town hosts what promises to be a fabulous night of free Christmas entertainment this festive season 

Downtown Portlaoise and Laois County Council say they are delighted to invite families and friends to celebrate the season with an unforgettable weekend at the Fort Outdoor Performance Space in the Laois Music Centre.

"The Fort Outdoor Performance Space will be transformed into a Christmas wonderland, with decorations, lights, and plenty of cheer to make this a weekend to remember," say retail group and the local authority

Events begin with a Big Christmas Trad Session on Saturday, December 14 from 5pm. 

"Join us for a lively evening of traditional Irish music with performances that’ll get your toes tapping and hearts soaring," say the organisers. 

The Big Christmas Sing takes place on Sunday, December 15 at 2pm.

"Raise your voices and sing along to your favourite Christmas carols in a magical community sing-along lead by the Laois Community Choir and guests," said the organisers.

The Christmas Family Film will be screened on Sunday, December 15 from 5pm.

"Bring a blanket and your loved ones for a festive family movie screening under the twinkling lights," say the organisers.
