Early bird tickets for Family Day at billionaire's Laois mansion go on sale this week

Abbeyleix House and Farm hosts the spectacular air show, open day and run for charity every year

‘The Collisons have the whole world to choose from and they chose Abbeyleix’

Early bird tickets for the Abbeyleix House and Farm Family Day go on sale in Laois this Wednesday.

The tickets, which are being sold in-person only, will be on sale from Polly’s in Abbeyleix for a couple of hours on Wednesday morning.

The highly anticipated annual event at the stately Laois country home of billionaire Stripe co-founder, John Collison, has been a sellout since he bought the estate in 2021 and continued the tradition.

The tech billionaire and pilot has carried out extensive work on the Abbey Leix Estate and employed specialist craft workers to bring the mansion and surrounding buildings back to their former glory. Among the projects being undertaken is the restoration of Millbrook Manor, which Mr Collison bought to restore and transform into a top quality restaurant.

The keen aviator has also added a touch of his own flair to the Family Day event which now features impressive aerial displays at the picturesque setting.

The early bird tickets go on sale from Polly’s in Abbeyleix on Wednesday morning from 9.30am to 12 noon. The tickets are only available to people who turn up in person.

The Abbeyleix House and Farm Family takes place on Sunday, June 29 and is a ticketed event.

Organisers say “100% of proceeds go to charity! Every cent from ticket sales, vendor fees, and our Abbeyleix House and Farm Kitchen Pantry supports great causes.”

On-site parking is complimentary but limited and people should secure their spot when buying tickets.   A free shuttle service will be available from Abbeyleix Town (South School, R32PP79).  Regular tickets go on sale on Eventbrite on Thursday, May 8 at 9am.

Early Bird Prices: Adult: €15, Teen (12-18yrs): €7.50, Child (5-12yrs): €5, Under 5yrs: Free. 10K Trail Run: €20.  Gates Open at 11.30 am with the last entry at 4pm.
