A woman appeared in court accused of stealing from shops in Portlaoise.

Theresa Conroy(39) of Apartment 3, Hynds Square, Portlaoise, is accused of stealing pyjamas valued at €91 from Dunnes Stores, Kyle Centre, on August 19, bacardi and Four Loco cans worth €41.10 from Mulhall’s Supervalu, Lyster Square, on August 22 and food and drink valued at €119 from Polonez, Bridge Street on August 24, 2025.

Garda Sergeant JJ Kirby told Judge Catherine Hayden that the three charges were for shoplifting. She accepted jurisdiction during the sitting of Portlaoise District Court.
