A family run Laois business has been recognised for excellence within the Irish Family Business Awards 2025.

Now in its 7th year, the awards have seen over 350 entries put forth within 21 diverse categories.

Raheen business Central Precast have been shortlisted for the Manufacturing and Engineering Family Business of the Year award, and the Professional and Business Services Family Business of the of the Year award.

The aim of these awards is to celebrate the dedication, innovation, and resilience of family-run enterprises in Ireland.

The awards highlight the vital role these businesses play in the economy and local communities across the island.

There is a category suited to every industry sector, ensuring recognition for outstanding achievements of family enterprises. Hospitality Business of the Year, Family Farming Business of the Year, Best in Customer Service and many more.

"We are thrilled to announce this year’s finalists and extend our heartfelt congratulations to each and every one of them," said Ms Jill Thornton, Head of Events with the Family Business Awards.

"These remarkable businesses represent the very best of what Irish family enterprise has to offer – resilience, innovation, and a deep-rooted commitment to community and legacy.

"Recognising and celebrating their contributions is at the heart of what the Family Business Awards stand for, and we are proud to shine a spotlight on the vital role they play across the Irish economy," Ms Thornton finished.

The decision now rests with the public to determine the recipient of the 2025 People’s Choice Award.

Voting is now officially open, with organisers inviting the public to participate by supporting their preferred finalists.
