The annual John Duggan Cup, organised by CBS past pupils Kevin Sheehan and Mark Keenan, drew a huge crowd to The Heritage Golf Resort in Killenard. A total of 124 golfers from 17 different clubs across the country competed for the coveted trophy. The day was as much about camaraderie and remembering the late John Duggan as it was about competition, with participants enjoying the chance to reunite and test their skills on the championship course. After an excellent day’s golf, Paddy Dalton emerged as the overall winner. Delighted with his victory, Dalton said: “It’s an honour to have won this cup as there were so many playing, and it was great to win it on a championship course like The Heritage.” The strong field delivered some fine golf, with prizes spread across categories. The top five saw Dalton take first place, followed by Eoin Farrell in second, Ciaran Coughlan in third, Paddy McDowell in fourth and Bill Davis in fifth. Other winners included Trevor Byrne in the Veteran category, Podge Langton for the Front 9, and Ronan Dowling for the Back 9. Anna Byrne claimed the Ladies prize, while John Mulligan took home the Non-golfer award. In the Gross category, prizes went to Niall Hearns, Brian Keenan and Colin Delaney. Special awards also went to Liam Phelan for Nearest the Pin and Conor McDaniel for Longest Drive. A FULL LIST OF SPONSORS CAN BE FOUND IN PICTURE 11.
