Talented Laois teens make it to television final

Laois twins Polly and Lila Nolan will perform with their brother Rían

Talented Laois teenagers are in the running to win TG4’s Réalta Agus Gaolta this weekend.

The traditional musicians honed their skills with Camross Comhaltas and were approached by the TG4 show producers during the 2025 Leinster Fleadh.

Twins Polly and Lila Nolan are 15 years old and will be taking to the stage with their younger brother Rían, aged 13. All three are members of Camross Comhaltas and perform with Music Generation Laois and the Leinster Youth Trad Orchestra.

They reached the final as the judges’ Wildcard act. With Polly on the piano, Lila playing the fiddle and Rian keeping the beat on the bodhrán, these three teens from Mountrath will have the studio bouncing to their trad music.

They are up against some of Ireland’s most talented families who have been performing on the show for the past seven weeks.

The Nolan family will go up against acrobats Gavin Kaar and Jennifer Sheridan, musical sisters Holly and Cliodhna Tinnelly, dancers Stefano Pappalardo and Perla Farrera, classical music maestros, the Mantu family, Rock ‘n’ Rollers Audrey Marian Fay and Eanna Duffy and traditional musicians the Ó Gríofa family.

A new champion will be crowned during the series finale of Réalta Agus Gaolta on Sunday, March 1 at 7.30pm.
