Cllr Callian Ellis also proposed that Ballinamore Municipal District repair the roadside damage on the L1511-2 in the townland of Halls, Cloone and was advised that the damage done to the verge in this location was done by National Broadband Ireland (NBI), or their agents. "They will be advised to repair it as soon as possible,"  the Council reply stated.
Darragh O'Boyle, district engineer with Leitrim County Council, said that when they were erecting the new poles for fibre broadband, the "heavy vehicles damaged the verge so we have contacted them and asked them to repair" adding it's a "hazard to the road user."
