Retrofit Ready hosted their home energy event in Drumshanbo on Thursday last, February 29.
This event brought together key business in the home energy / retrofitting industry across the region, bringing knowledge to home owners interested in upgrading their homes from attic insulation to a full deep retrofit.
The turnout to the event was a testimony to the amount of people who are looking to make the change for a more energy efficient home.
“There are a lot of people who are not aware of the grants available to them from SEAI to retrofit their home, making it more energy efficient and easier heated.
“This is where the Retrofit Ready project comes in. We are here to help build the knowledge and skills at community level to enable people to make the change, improve their homes energy efficiency and ultimately live in a warmer easier heated home,” said Carol Durkin.
