LIMERICK Chamber is inviting businesses across the Mid-West to join them for some "outdoor business networking" with their Inaugural Limerick Chamber Golf Classic.
The event will take place on the “wonderful and scenic” ground of the Limerick Golf Club course in Ballyclough on Thursday, May 11.
Registering teams and members will have the opportunity to take time for team building with colleagues, corporate entertainment for clients and suppliers, informal networking, or a round of golf.
Founded in 1891, the Limerick Golf Club is one of the oldest golf clubs in Ireland. The grounds boast an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Dr Alister McKenzie, architect of Lahinch and Augusta National, and others by John D. Harris. The grounds also became synonymous with the launch of the JP McManus Invitational Pro-Am, the biggest pro-am event of its kind in Europe, which had its home at Limerick Golf Club from 1990, with the last staging in July 2000.
Through the support of their main sponsors, Mr Binman, Limerick Chamber aims to for the Limerick Chamber Golf Classic to become a staple in the calendars of businesses across the Mid-West.
Sales and Marketing Director at Mr Binman, Joe Cleary, said: “Mr Binman is thrilled to be sponsoring the first Limerick Chamber of Commerce Golf Classic in May. As a company that values community support, we are delighted to be a part of this event and contribute to its success. Supporting the communities in which we operate is a top priority for us at Mr Binman, and we take great pride in partnering with organisations that share our values. The Golf Classic is an excellent opportunity for us to come together with the business community of Limerick and highlight our Chamber’s commitment to supporting local initiatives. We look forward to an exciting event and wish all participants the best of luck!”
On the day, a lucky team of 4 will win the opportunity to represent Limerick Chamber in Chambers Ireland’s inaugural golf competition, which takes place on October 20 at the K Club in Co Kildare. Open to the winners of all Chamber golf classics.
Bookings can be made via cmoloney@limerickchamber.ie and the fee includes golf goodie bags, refreshments at Tee 10 as well as dinner for every team.
